Together Again

Ohhh… Now I get it.

So I did a special “sound check” show with SCI last night. It was a trip to look across the stage and see the whole band back together again. It felt pretty natural, almost like we had never taken a break. The show was a blast and it was a good warm up for Rothbury.

Reunited

I just finished a week of rehearsals with String Cheese. It was pretty wild to be in that room with all five of them again. At first we chatted about what we had all be doing for the last two years and eventually we decided to play some music. The first few jams were a bit awkward, but the groove ...

Caught in the Web and Readying for Rothbury

What the hell; I recently joined some random cult called Facebook. That is some crazy stuff. The second I joined, I was reintroduced to all the people I went to high school with. While this was interesting and slightly amusing it was a bit strange that I was having contact with people that I knew when I was going through ...

Beer and New Music

3 am

Staring at the ceiling. Trying to process all the day’s events. Why does this always happen in the middle on the night? It is not like I am going to solve any of the problems sensibly at this early hour, but once my mind gets going it is hard to stop it. So this could be a great ...

The Road Again...

Ok now, my second blog entry. I will attempt to write this on Ambien. So if this gets a little slurred by the end forgive me.

Well I hit the Midwest hard with my new funk project, D.N.A. Land. It was a blast and it seemed that the fans had fun as well. Traveling via my rented PT Cruiser, we ...

Hello, world!

Ok, so here we go; my first blog. What to say?…Wow this is definitely very bizarre. I guess I will talk about my most recent shows with PBS. I had such a blast performing with George Porter and the boys again. The tunes were fun and the music amazing, but even more so was the communication on stage. To ...

SCI Taping Policy

Audience taping is allowed at all Incidents. Taping of an SCI performance will only be permitted in the designated taping area. Guest performances by band members with other artists will be overseen by that artist's policy. No electrical power will be given to the taper section.

There are no designated tapers' tickets at general admission shows, entry to the taping section is first-come first-serve. Taping will be allowed on a space-available basis with any ticket. When the section is full, no additional recording equipment will be allowed into the show. If you wish to tape at a general admission show you have the best chance of getting a spot in the section if you are in line to enter the building when the doors open; this time is always printed on each ticket. If all of the space is taken before you enter the venue, you will not be permitted to bring recording equipment in with you.

The enjoyment of the audience in attendance at an Incident always takes priority over recording efforts. This means that at no time should tapers ever call for other concertgoers to be quiet or impede their enjoyment of the Incident. Per our taping policy, there will continue to be no "front of board" taping. However, we will continue to place the taper section in the BEST spot available in accordance with the restrictions and policies of the venues. Furthermore, we will continue to do our best to accommodate as many tapers as possible within the confines of the venue's limitations and ticket / space availability. Anyone found taping in violation of the above policy will be removed from the venue and unauthorized recordings will be confiscated.
